Schooled in the ways of deep, jazzy house, Detroit-based, nationally renowned spin doctor and tastemaker DJ Cambeaux can be heard on the airwaves as host of the global underground music show The Progressive Underground on National Public Radio (NPR).
DJ Cambeaux aka Chris Campbell is a nationally renowned tastemaker/DJ and host of the NPR (National Public Radio) program The Progressive Underground (TPU) as heard on 101.9 WDET (Detroit NPR affiliate) and throughout the ALPHA network.
As host of TPU, DJ Cambeaux takes listeners on a multi-genre musical odyssey by way of creative hand-picked playlists, exclusive artist interviews and atmospheric style mixes.
Campbeaux is also a correspondent for NPR (National Public Radio) curating global underground music for segments such as “Heavy Rotation” and “Songs We Love.” He also spins at festivals, clubs, etc regionally and abroad.
